SHERIFF’S OFFICE SANTA RITA JAIL (TYPE II FACILITY)
Dear Sheriff Sanchez:
On April 2, 2024, the Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) staff conducted
an unannounced inspection of the Santa Rita Jail, pursuant to Penal Code Section
6031(b). The focus of the unannounced inspection was to verify continued compliance
with Section 1263 Clothing Supply, 1267 Hair Care Services, and 1272 Mattresses of the
Title 15, California Code of Regulations (CCR), Minimum Standards for Local Detention
Facilities.
INSPECTION RESULTS
Title 15, CCR Minimum Standards
The inspection consisted of a site visit, conversations with facility staff, and physical
inspection of hair care items, clothing/bedding items, and mattresses.
There were no items of noncompliance.
CORRECTIVE ACTION PLAN (CAP)
No CAP is required at this time.
