A pre- inspection briefing was held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, and the following facilities were inspected between Tuesday, December 3, 2024 and Monday, December 9, 2024: FACILITY NAME BSCC # FACILITY TYPE Amador County Jail - Targeted 0320 II Amador County Court Holding - Comprehensive 0325 CH These inspections were conducted pursuant to Penal Code Section 6031 to determine compliance with the Minimum Standards for Local Detention Facilities as outlined in Titles 15 and 24, California Code of Regulations. INSPECTION RESULTS We identified the following items of noncompliance with Title 24 Minimum Standards in the County Jail. Title 24 § 1231.2.5 Safety Cell: Contain a flushing ring toilet capable of accepting solid waste mounted flush with the floor. The flushing ring toilet is not capable of accepting solid waste. Title 24 § 1231.2.9 Dayrooms: Contain 35 square feet of floor area per person. Bunks in dayrooms to accommodate additional persons in custody cut the square footage of the dayroom and place additional persons in the housing unit. The number of persons exceeds the available square footage. Gary W.
