The 2025-2026 Comprehensive Inspection of the Colusa County Sheriff's Office has been
completed. A pre-inspection briefing was held on Friday, March 14, 2025, and the
following facilities were inspected on Tuesday, April 22, 2025:

These inspections were conducted pursuant to Penal Code Section 6031 to determine
compliance with the Minimum Standards for Local Detention Facilities as outlined in Titles
15 and 24, California Code of Regulations.
In addition to inspection(s) by the BSCC, inspections are also required annually by the
County Health Officer and biennially by the State Fire Marshal or an authorized
representative (Health and Safety Code Sections 101045 and 13146.1). The results of
those inspections are considered a part of this report. Reference the Colusa County Jail
and the Colusa County Courthouse, all County Health Officer and Biennial State Fire
Marshall Inspections are up to date.

An Exit Briefing with your staff was held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025; BSCC staff presented
an overview of the inspection and discussed technical assistance and best practice
recommendations. BSCC staff reviewed and provided an Initial Inspection Report for
noncompliance items found during the inspection. A Corrective Action Plan is due to the
BSCC no later than May 29, 2025.
