March 26, 2024 Fred Miramontes, Sheriff-Coroner Imperial County Sheriff’s Office 328 Applestill Road El Centro, CA 92243 2024 UNANNOUNCED INSPECTION, PENAL CODE 6031, IMPERIAL COUNTY ADULT DETENTION FACILITIES (TYPE II FACILITIES) Dear Sheriff Miramontes: Pursuant to Penal Code section 6031 (b), on March 14, 2024, the Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) staff conducted an unannounced inspection of the Imperial County Adult Detention Facilities BSCC #0880 Regional Adult and #0905 Oren Fox. The focus of the unannounced inspection was to verify continued compliance with Title 15 Sections: 1260 Standard Institutional Clothing, 1267 Hair Care Services, and 1270 Standard Bedding and Linen Issue. BSCC INSPECTION Title 15, CCR Minimum Standards BSCC staff conducted an onsite inspection of clothing, bedding, mattresses, and hair care products at the Regional Adult Detention Facility and Oren Fox Detention Facility. During the inspection, we found no items of noncompliance with the above noted Title 15 of the California Code of Regulations (CCR), Minimum Standards for Local Detentions Facilities.
