2023-2024 COMPREHENSIVE BSCC FOLLOW-UP INSPECTION OF THE TAFT
POLICE DEPARTMENT’S TYPE I HOLDING FACILITY
Dear Chief McMinn:
On August 3, 2024, BSCC staff received safety check logs regarding the remaining
outstanding item of noncompliance from the 2023-2024 Comprehensive Inspection of the
Taft Police Department Type I Holding Facility. The item was §1027.5 – Safety Checks.
BSCC reviewed the provided documents and determined the item of noncompliance,
§1027.5 – Safety Checks, has been corrected and the agency meets the Minimum
Standards for Local Detention Facilities as outlined in Titles 15 and 24, California Code
of Regulations.
