August 15, 2024 John McGarva, Sheriff-Coroner Lassen County Sheriff's Office 1405 Sheriff Cady Lane Susanville, CA 96130 2023-2024 UNANNOUNCED INSPECTION, PENAL CODE SECTION 6031, LASSEN COUNTY ADULT DETENTION FACILITY Dear Sheriff McGarva: An Unannounced Inspection of the Lassen County Sheriff's Office was completed for the following facility on August 14, 2024: FACILITY NAME BSCC # FACILITY TYPE Adult Detention Facility 1305 II This inspection was conducted pursuant to Penal Code Section 6031 to determine compliance with the Minimum Standards for Local Detention Facilities as outlined in Title 15, California Code of Regulations. INSPECTION RESULTS The focus of the Unannounced Inspection was to evaluate 1044 Incident Reports, 1041 Records, 1260 Standard Institutional Clothing, and 1265 Issue of Personal Care Items. After reviewing documentation, completing a facility walkthrough, and conducting interviews with staff and people housed at the facility, we identified no items of noncompliance with Title 15 Minimum Standards.
