Section Description In court holding, temporary holding, Type I, Type II and Type II facilities there shall be an inmate- or sound-actuated audio monitoring system in temporary holding cells or rooms, temporary staging cells or rooms, sobering cells, safety cells, single and double occupancy cells, dormitories, dayrooms, exercise areas and correctional program/multipurpose space, which is capable of alerting personnel who can respond immediately. 1231.2.22 Audio monitoring system During the BSCC on-site inspection, BSCC staff tested the voice-activated audio system within the holding cells adjacent to the court rooms. The audio system was inoperable at the time of the inspection. Riverside County Maintenance confirmed the system was currently inoperable.
