San Francisco Co Annex II (2020-2022 inspection cycle)

Goodlett Place San Francisco, Ca 94102 2022 UNANNOUNCED INSPECTION, PENAL CODE 6031, SAN FRANCISCO COUNTY ADULT JAIL (TYPE II JAIL FACILITY) Dear Sheriff Miyamoto: Pursuant to Penal Code section 6031 (b), on 6/14/2022, Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) staff conducted an unannounced inspection of the San Francisco County Jail Annex, San Bruno. The focus of the unannounced inspection was to verify that the Annex was not currently being occupied by incarcerated individuals. The Annex was temporarily occupied for several weeks earlier in the year due to a Covid-19 Pandemic increase in the incarcerated population. BSCC INSPECTION Title 15, CCR Minimum Standards It was confirmed that the Annex was no longer currently housing incarcerated individuals at this time. The facility is ready to utilize if needed. Title 24, CCR Physical Plant There are no outstanding items of noncompliance with Title 24 minimum standards. CORRECTIVE ACTION PLAN There were no items of noncompliance identified during the unannounced inspection, and no Corrective Action Plan is required at this time.
