DAMBACHER DETENTION FACILITY (TYPE II, JAIL) Dear Sheriff Vasquez: Pursuant to Penal Code section 6031 (b), on April 9, 2024, Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) staff conducted an unannounced inspection of the J.H. Dambacher Detention Facility. The focus of the unannounced inspection was to verify continued compliance with sections 1032 (Fire Suppression Preplanning), 1061 (Education Programs), and 1070 (Individual/Family Services Programs) of Title 15 of the California Code of Regulations (CCR), Minimum Standards for Local Detentions Facilities. BSCC INSPECTION The inspection consisted of a walkthrough of the facility, interviews with administration staff, facility staff, program providers, and a review of fire and life safety reports. During review of reports and interviews with staff, we found no items of noncompliance. CORRECTIVE ACTION PLAN There were no items of noncompliance identified during the unannounced inspection, and no Corrective Action Plan is required at this time.
