A pre-inspection briefing was held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, and the following facility was inspected on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 : FACILITY NAME BSCC # FACILITY TYPE Yolo County Courthouse 6098 CH This inspection was conducted pursuant to Penal Code Section 6031 to determine compliance with the Minimum Standards for Local Detention Facilities as outlined in Titles 15 and 24, California Code of Regulations. In addition to inspection(s) by the BSCC, inspections are also required annually by the County Health Officer and biennially by the State Fire Marshal or an authorized representative (Health and Safety Code Sections 101045 and 13146.1). The results of those inspections are considered a part of this report. INSPECTION RESULTS We identified the following items of noncompliance with Title 15 Minimum Standards: § 1027.5 – Safety Checks: The department is noncompliant because there was no documentation indicating a supervisor or facility manager reviewed safety checks, including methods of mitigating patterns of inconsistent documentation of, or untimely completion of, safety checks. § 1032 – Fire Suppression Preplanning: The department is noncompliant with section (b) where monthly fire prevention inspections are to be conducted by facility staff, and these records are retained for two years. There were a few months unaccounted for. Refer to the attached Procedures Checklist for detailed information.
