Title 15. Section Description
BSCC staff reviewed safety check documentation from
July 1, 2020, through February 2, 2021. During the
review, BSCC staff determined the agency is
§ 1027.5 Safety Checks
noncompliant due to safety checks not being routinely
completed with the 60-minute time-lapse of this
regulation throughout the facility.
During the documentation review for the continued
retention, BSCC staff determined the agency is
§ 1055. Use of Safety Cell
noncompliant with this regulation due to sergeants not
routinely documenting retention checks every four
hours.
During the documentation review of the continued
retention being reviewed at a minimum of every hour,
BSCC staff determined the agency is noncompliant
§ 1058. Use of Restraint Devices
with regulation. The noncompliance is due to six out of
the twelve reports not have hourly retention checks
conducted.
Title 24. Section Description
The OS cell in Pod F is 211 square feet with a rated
capacity of two. On the day of inspection, BSCC staff
determined the agency is noncompliant with this
1231.2.7 Double-occupancy cells
regulation due to the OS cell having three double
bunks with six persons incarcerated assigned to the
cell.
