The modifica�on requested is as follows: • Introduc�on of a Field Repair Kit for the DS300 Ballot Bin Handle. California Elec�ons Code sec�on 19216 precludes a vo�ng system or part of a vo�ng system that has been approved by the Secretary of State from being changed or modified un�l the Secretary of State has determined the change “does not impair its accuracy and efficiency….” If the Secretary of State determines the change or modifica�on does not impair the accuracy or efficiency of the vo�ng system, the Secretary of State may administra�vely approve the proposed change or modifica�on. In addi�on, you submited the following documents from Pro V&V, an Elec�on Assistance Commission cer�fied Vo�ng System Tes�ng Laboratory: • ES&S ECO 1162 - Release Field Repair Kit for the DS300 Ballot Bin Handle. • ES&S EVS6302 ECO 1162 Evalua�on. Based on the applica�on and addi�onal suppor�ng documenta�on from Pro V&V, this administra�ve approval is granted.
