Bldg 200 Austin, TX 78728 Dear Mr. Grosser, On Tuesday, July 2, 2024, the California Secretary of State Office of Voting Systems Technology Assessment (OVSTA) received a request for administrative approval for one modification to the HART Verity 3.2 voting system pursuant to California Elections Code section 19216. The modification is as follows: Type Description New Include Brother HL-EX415DW Printer California Elections Code section 19216 precludes a voting system or part of a voting system that has been approved by the Secretary of State from being changed or modified until the Secretary of State has determined the change “does not impair its accuracy and efficiency….” If the Secretary of State determines the change or modification does not impair the accuracy or efficiency of the voting system, the Secretary of State may administratively approve the proposed change or modification. In addition, you submitted the following documents from SLI Compliance, an Election Assistance Commission certified Voting System Testing Laboratory: • SLI_CA Brother HL-EX415DW Assessment Letter Based on the application, and supporting documentation from SLI Compliance, this administrative approval is granted.
